Requirements for class

Assignments |
The expectation is that each student will be present with necessary tools to complete work for their class. These would include paper, pencil/pen, and completed assignment. Further the behavioral exceptions are that the student will be respectful to the teacher and other students in the classroom.
Electronic Devices in ClassAll electronic devices are to be turned off and kept in the students backpack/purse or pocket. in the event that Mr. Langston needs them to use the electronic devise for class work, he will instruct them as to when they may be used.
|
All assignments are due on the due date. Exceptions would be if a student is out because of illness, in which case they have two days for each day absent to complete the work. If the student is out due to a school activity or absence other than illness, the assignment will be due the day they return to class. It is the student's responsibility to inquire with Mr. Langston as to what work they missed.
Classroom BehaviorStudents are expected to use the restroom and get a drink before they enter the room. They are expected to enter the classroom quietly and take their seats and prepare for the start of class. Additionally, they are expected to refrain from excessive talking and distracting behavior during class. Again, students are expect to show respect for one another and the teacher at all times.

Mr. Langston has been teaching for nearly 40 years and believes that all children are capable of learning at a high level of achievement. His goal is for the students to discover the joy of learning through rigorous engagement in the material presented during each course of study. His hope is that the students will allow themselves this joy through hard work and study.
